Our Vision

Punjab Waqf Board will strive towards empowerment of the Muslim community across the country in general and within the state of Punjab in particular by promoting rational and logical thinking through establishment and strengthening of a value based modern education system. Board will strive to improve the lives of the members of the general public with specific focus on Muslim community by providing easy access to cheap and quality education & healthcare facilities, skill development and by promoting & facilitating employment of the members of the community. Board will strive to derive maximum income out of the property and resources available with it for undertaking welfare activities for the poor and destitute and maintain the waqf properties especially the Masjids and Khangahs of historical significance while simultaneously ensuring that the lessees of the Board are not put to hardships and are provided an efficient, corruption free and hassle free leasing services.

Our Mission

    Board will strengthen the infrastructure of existing schools, colleges and Hospital and will equip them with the latest technology to provide better education and healthcare.

    Board will make appropriate scholarship schemes, interest free education loan and similar other schemes for promotion of the education in Muslim community.

    Board will facilitate training and coaching, through appropriate policies, suitable candidates for appearing and clearing various competitive examinations.

    Board will establish skill development Centers under SKILL INDIA Campaign and various schemes of Ministry of Minority affairs.

    Board will try to establish CBSE Pattern model schools in the state of Punjab.

    Board will try to establish an education city affiliated to some reputed University with specific focus on professional and vocational courses and special emphasis on women related courses.

    Board will expand the existing Hazrat Haleema Hospital, Malerkotla, and would strive towards creation of a nursing college, pharmacy college and similar other medical and Para-medical streams.

    Board will strive towards establishment of a coaching cum counseling & guidance centre for facilitating youth.

    Board will actively promote and fund establishment of Libraries within the state of Punjab for the benefit of general public, with specific focus on Muslim Community.

    Board will undertake conservation and protection of the Masjids, Dargahs, Khangahs, Imambaras etc of historical significance.

    Board will formulate appropriate schemes for construction of Masjids/Madrassas and will provide appropriate partial aid, keeping in view the Board income, to them to meet their recurring expenses.

    Board will facilitate the marriage of the girls belonging to poor and under-privileged sections of Muslim community and shall try to become the sought after institution for the help & facilitation of poor and needy.

    Board will explore the use of technology for providing an efficient and corruption free environment for the lessees, besides making all information regarding lease available to the general public.
